This afternoon my husband found a tortoise in the garden. I had never seen a tortoise like this before. I could only guess that it was an exotic species someone had bought as a pet. The bulbs are up but the sun is obscured by a thick grey blan.

The cup has been loved and protected for over 86 years, and I will be the new guardian. It looks like the bees approve.
